22STRONG Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting recovery care for veterans. This policy applies to 22strongfoundation.com and information 22STRONG receives through the website.

2. Information involved

Information you choose to provide

If you contact us, the website opens a prepared email addressed to 22STRONG in your own email application. The website does not submit or store a contact form. Once you send the email, 22STRONG receives and uses the information you include to respond to you.

Please do not include private medical records, diagnosis details, Social Security numbers, financial account credentials, or urgent needs in the email.

Donation information

When donation tools are available and you choose to load them, Givebutter and its payment providers may collect contact, donation, billing, device, and transaction information. 22STRONG may receive donor contact details, gift amount, frequency, transaction status, and related records through its Givebutter account. Givebutter states that payment-card data is handled by PCI-compliant payment providers; 22STRONG does not receive or store your full card number through this website.

Information processed automatically

Our hosting provider, Netlify, may process technical request information such as IP address, browser or device type, requested page, referring page, and date and time to deliver, secure, and maintain the site. 22STRONG does not independently install advertising pixels or analytics on ordinary page loads. If you allow the embedded donation tools, Givebutter and services it uses may process additional device and usage information as described below.

  • Process and acknowledge donations and maintain required transaction records.
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and donation experience.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized transactions.
  • Meet legal, tax, accounting, reporting, and regulatory obligations.

4. When information is shared

Information may be provided to service providers only as needed for their work, including:

  • Netlify, which hosts and delivers the website.
  • Givebutter, which provides donation forms, donor records, and fundraising services.
  • Payment providers such as Stripe, which process payment information and transactions.
  • Services loaded by Givebutter, which may include Google Tag Manager and Analytics, Meta/Facebook, PostHog, Google Maps, Cloudflare, Braintree, and content-delivery providers.
  • Professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights and safety.

22STRONG does not sell personal information for money and does not independently use website visitor information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Third parties used by Givebutter operate under their own policies and may combine information as those policies describe.

5. Cookies, local storage, and external services

The website stores your privacy choice in your browser’s local storage. That record is necessary to remember whether you closed the prompt or selected “Accept.” It contains the choice and the date it was saved; it is not transmitted to 22STRONG.

Givebutter’s optional tools may use cookies or similar technologies and may process device, browser, referring-page, and usage information. In testing, the embedded form loaded services associated with Google, Meta/Facebook, PostHog, Google Maps, Cloudflare, Stripe, and Braintree in addition to Givebutter. These services load only after you select “Accept.” Choose “Privacy choices” in the footer to review or change the setting. Revoking permission reloads the page so optional services remain off on the next load.

6. Retention and security

We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including donor service, financial reporting, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record and service provider.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. The website is delivered over HTTPS and uses browser security controls, but no online service or method of storage can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. Your choices and requests

  • Use “Privacy choices” in the footer to accept or reject optional donation tools.
  • Ask to access, correct, or delete personal information held by 22STRONG, subject to legal and recordkeeping exceptions.
  • Use the privacy controls offered separately by Givebutter or its payment providers for information they control.

22STRONG is a nonprofit and is generally not a “business” covered by the California Consumer Privacy Act. We nevertheless aim to honor reasonable privacy requests and provide transparent choices. The site does not track visitors across unrelated websites. If a browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, optional external services remain blocked unless you affirmatively allow them through this site’s privacy control.

8. Children’s privacy

This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children under 13 through the website. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can review and address the request.
